Catholic schools in Hays have enjoyed a rich tradition for over 100 years since the Capuchin Fathers and Sisters of St. Agnes came to the high plains to serve the region and educate children in the Catholic tradition.
Operational funding for our schools comes from several sources: parish tithes, endowment proceeds, student fees, and private dollars. The St. Thomas More Society will supplement these funds through its annual campaigns.
Since the inception of the STMS in 2011:
Over 17,500 Gifts have been made

The annual need for 2025-2026, based on funding required to pay for the growth at TMP-Marian and our Future Monarchs at Holy Family Elementary, is approximately $650,000, which funds our faculty, technology needs, textbooks, transportation to activities, and so much more.
Your donations have an immediate impact on our students!
*Donors whose gifts to the STMS total $500 or more during the academic year will receive a complimentary pass for two to all home athletic competitions for that year.
“Education is not the piling on of learning, information, data, facts, skills, or abilities - that's training or instruction - but is rather making visible what is hidden as a seed.”

A legacy of philanthropy to Catholic Education
Leo J. and Albina Dreiling Trust - Hays, KS
We would like to recognize the Dreiling Trust as a steadfast supporter of Catholic education in Ellis County and as a defender of the Faith through its unwavering support of our faculty and students over these many years. The Dreiling Trust, in memory of Leo J. and Albina Dreiling, has supported us through many lean years, and their commitment to the St. Thomas More Society affirms that generosity time and time again. The hope is that these generous gifts will inspire others at all levels to support Catholic education.
