Today was a great day for the Entrepreneurship students. They represented TMP-M with the utmost class, which I was extremely proud of. In total, TMP-M students won $1,400 in prize money. All the presentations went very well, and it proved to be quite a unique and wonderful experience for each of them. The winners of this year's YEC were as follows: People's Choice - $200 Kendall Walker/Alejandra Robles - Wreck Room Most likely to launch - $200 Jared Anschutz -High Tide Pressure Washing Best in trade show- $200 Carli Fischer/Anabelle Leach - Book Bean 3rd - $300 - Caleb Marintzer/Austin Gilbert - ACMG Handyman/Lawncare 2nd - $500 - Caden Becker - Star Garage Aid 1st - $1,000 - Keller Lawn Service - Ellis HS Congratulations to each of these students and to everyone who competed. Also, a big thank you to all teachers and administrators who helped facilitate this competition by allowing students the extra time and flexibility of missing class, etc. You all are extremely appreciated.

The 2023 PTF Soup Supper results are in! This year the soup supper brought in a total of $4,760.93. The Dine In portion brought in $2,119.93 and Carry Out was $2,641. That is $1,106.93 more than last year which is a 30% increase. Thank you to the PTF, volunteers and all who came out to support the soup supper. This couldn't be done with out all of you!

Ellis County, in association with the Network Kansas E-Community Partnership and Grow Hays, announces that the Ellis County Youth Entrepreneurship Competition will take place in Hays on November 7th at the Home Event Center from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The goal of the competition is to expose Kansas high school students to entrepreneurship. The competition will consist of students preparing a written business plan and executive summary, a "tradeshow" booth, and a presentation. The students will be competing for a monetary prize. The work will be judged by local entrepreneurs, public sector partners, teachers, or other adults. Thomas More Prep-Marian High School will be sending 25 students to the competition. Students have been preparing their business in an Entrepreneurship class during the first semester of the current school year. There will be a TMP-M practice session on Nov. 3 in Al Billinger Fieldhouse in the gym from 9-10:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend. Yesterday, 6th graders at TMP-Marian visited the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Wichita. The students and chaperones prayed at the tomb of Servant of God, Fr. Emil Kapaun. Later in the day, the students also visited the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters motherhouse in Colwich. The pilgrimage included visits to the cathedral, lunch at the convent, as well as short talks on the daily life of a religious sister and vocations. Thank you Sister Mary Monica and all the chaperones and drivers who made the pilgrimage possible!
